Terror Alert in Brussels, Belgium

Terror Mate reports that 2 platforms and entrance hall has been evacuated due to police intervention. No mention yet as to why the action was taken.

Specifically, Platforms 9 and 10 have been sealed.

The Sun reports:

“A BRUSSELS station was on full lock-down this afternoon after a “loud bang” was heard and screaming passengers fled.

“The terminal in the Belgian capital city has been reportedly evacuated while emergency services and rush to the scene.”

Heavy.com reports:

“Brussels South Station, a train station located in Belgium’s capital city, has been evacuated after a “loud bang” was heard. As you can see in the photo above, dozens of people rushed outside of the building after a noise that has been described by some social media users as an “explosion.”

Authorities have not released any details about what might have caused the noise. However, a local transport official told Politico Europe editor Andrew Gray that there was a suspicious package found. After some investigation, authorities found it to be a “false alarm.” Police and emergency personnel are currently at the scene, but it appears as though things have calmed down.”  See the photo and read more.
