INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.
Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Jeremy Murphy.
- Media fear of retaliation from Trump if he is reelected. Trump has a long history of attacking the media, calling them “fake news” and “the enemy of the people.” He has also threatened to sue and/or regulate news organizations that he doesn’t like. This has created a climate of fear in the media, with many journalists reluctant to criticize Trump for fear of reprisal.
- The media enjoyed a huge ratings (and ads) boom the last time Trump was elected. Trump is a very polarizing figure, and his presidency generated a great deal of interest from both supporters and opponents. This translated into big ratings and advertising revenue for the media. As a result, many media outlets have a vested interest in keeping Trump in the news, even if it means giving him positive coverage.
- The media’s obsession with conflict and controversy. Trump is a master of generating conflict and controversy. He is constantly making headlines, both for his words and his actions. This makes him a very attractive subject for the media, which often prioritizes conflict and controversy over substance.
- The media’s focus on horse-race politics. The media often covers politics as a horse race, focusing on who is up and who is down in the polls. This type of coverage can benefit Trump, who is very good at mobilizing his base of support.
- The media’s reliance on anonymous sources. The media often relies on anonymous sources for information. This can be a problem when it comes to covering Trump, as his administration is known for leaking information to the press in order to manipulate public opinion.
