About the founder, Morris Sims, CLU, ChFC, MSM:-
Morris started Sims Training and Consulting, LLC after his retirement from New York Life in 2016. He spent 32 years with NYLIC and retired as the Vice President and Chief Learning Officer in the Agency Department. His team was in charge of designing, building, and implementing training for 12,000 agents and 1,000 managers in the field. He was a part of the team that built the first corporate university for Field Training at New York Life; NYLIC University.
Morris was a successful agent in New Orleans before joining management and serving in Monroe, LA, and Little Rock, AR. He was promoted to the Zone Director of Training role in Dallas and finally spent 20 years in the Home Office in New York.
Morris’s undergraduate degree is in Chemical Engineering and he spent 5 years practicing engineering. At that point, he decided sales would be more fun and he joined New York Life.
Morris holds a Masters Degree in Management with an emphasis in leadership, the CLU, and the ChFC designations.
He is an instructor for the American College of Financial Services teaching in the CLF Curriculum and in the Graduate School.
Morris and his wife Carla live outside Dallas in Forney, Texas.
