Feeling overwhelmed can happen to any of us at any time, regardless of job or level and you may feel helpless to do anything about it. Leaders can feel especially overwhelmed because of added demands on their time from bosses, peers, and employees. Working harder won’t help you overcome the feeling of being overwhelmed. Even worse, ignoring the feelings and pressing on can lead to burnout, making you even less productive and make you feel as if you’re letting everyone down. I share three simple steps you can follow to conquer overwhelm and get back on track.

Ms. Collard has served on multiple boards in various capacities, including chairing the National Baldrige Foundation Board of Directors and the California Council for Excellence.  Debbie holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree in organization development (MSOD) from Pepperdine University. She is an ICF member and ICF certified coach (PCC), a certified professional coach (CPC) through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), an experienced public speaker, podcaster, and a published author.
