Journalist Behind Blockbuster Film Discusses His New Book on 2020 Election

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed Mark Bowden.

On a recent Price of Business show, Host Kevin Price visited with Mark Bowden, who is the author of fifteen books, including the #1 New York Times bestseller Black Hawk Down, Killing Pablo, Hue 1968, and The Last Stone. He reported at the Philadelphia Inquirer for twenty years and now writes for The Atlantic and other magazines. In this segment he discusses his new book, The Steal.
The US is marking one year since the storming of the US capitol. Until now, there has not been a comprehensive record of or a reckoning with the attempt to discredit a free and fair US election.

According to a statement, “Working with a team of researchers and reporters, veteran journalists MARK BOWDEN and MATTHEW TEAGUE provide that reckoning in the new book THE STEAL – a compelling week-by-week, state-by-state account of the effort to overturn the 2020 Presidential election.

“Unlike the other bestselling books on Trump’s final days in office, THE STEAL goes outside the Beltway, delivering a portrait of the local heroes who did their duty and ensured the credibility of the election despite outlandish claims and sustained political, legal, and popular pressure, as well as threats to themselves, their colleagues, and their families.

“Never before in the history of the US has a President refused to accept the results of an election. Donald Trump and his allies spent years casting doubt on election integrity and in the weeks following November 3 the barrage of claims of widespread fraud built to a crescendo at his rally on January 6, followed by the storming of the US capitol.

“THE STEAL: The Attempt to Overturn the 2020 Election and the People Who Stopped It delivers a bird’s eye view of this period, following participants you may not have heard of, but who played a critical role in the immediate aftermath of the 2020 election. The characters that emerge in this story are unforgettable, through their experiences the full picture of the efforts to discredit the election in swing states—Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—comes into vivid focus.”
